Our new Greens Consultant/Course Manager, Chris Roberts, has a reputation within the Midlands as a greens specialist and already the results of his expertise can be seen on Worfield’s greens. With a handicap of three and 18 years experience, he works with both a golfer’s and green keeper’s perspective and will be a great asset to the club and course.
Our team of green keepers, Gareth, Richard, Andrew, Mike and Thomas will be hard at work during the winter period improving the golf course. We are very lucky with the sandy soil on the course which allows us to work with machinery all year round. In January we will be taking delivery of a new greens machine, a new tees and approaches machine and a new set of vibrating rollers. After completion of our major course improvements last winter the team are now concentrating on cosmetically enhancing the golf course.
